1. Controller

SCC Courts GmbH

Email: hello@scc-courts.de

2. General information on data processing

We process personal data exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG), the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz, TDDDG) and all other applicable data protection provisions.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Notice of your right to object: Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object to this at any time. Details can be found in section 7.

3. Collection and storage of personal data and the nature and purpose of its use

a) Hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). The same applies to our CRM system at crm.scc-courts.de, from which individual parts of the website are loaded (e.g. the project map, newsletter topics and the Court Designer) and to which our forms and our audience measurement send data. The CRM’s server functions run in Vercel’s Frankfurt am Main region.

When you access our website, the browser on your device automatically transmits information to our hosting provider’s servers, where it is stored in what are known as log files.

In particular, the following data is recorded:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • name and URL of the file retrieved
  • referrer URL (website visited previously)
  • browser and operating system used

This data is processed in order to:

  • deliver the website and ensure its technical functionality
  • guarantee system security
  • improve the stability of the website
  • fulfil administrative purposes

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Vercel processes the data on our behalf. Processing in the USA cannot be ruled out (see section 5).

The log files are deleted automatically once our hosting provider’s retention periods have expired, unless retention is required for security reasons.

b) Cookies and storage in your browser

We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. Our website itself does not set any cookies.

For individual functions, we store information exclusively locally in your browser (“local storage”) without it being transmitted to us: your choice in the cookie banner, the court models selected in the model comparison, and whether you have closed the newsletter or Court Designer notice. The Court Designer also notes whether its usage hint has already been shown.

The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We only load external content (YouTube videos, appointment booking via Microsoft Bookings, the LeasinGO financing calculator) with your consent. The providers may then set cookies. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via “Privacy settings” in the footer of the website. Details can be found in our cookie policy.

c) Cookie-free audience measurement

To understand which pages are used and how well our forms work, we use our own cookie-free audience measurement. No cookies are set and no data is stored in your browser. No third-party services (such as Google Analytics) are used.

The following is recorded:

  • page views (the page accessed, where the visit came from, e.g. a search engine or a referring website, and any campaign parameters in the URL)
  • clicks on certain buttons and links (e.g. “Request a quote”, telephone and email links, datasheet downloads, links to external websites together with their domain)
  • whether a form was started, submitted or abandoned; if abandoned, the name of the field used last – but not the content of the form fields
  • device type (desktop, tablet, mobile), website language, and the country and region derived from the IP address

Your IP address is only used briefly to generate a checksum, using a secret key, from the IP address, the browser identifier and the current date; this checksum changes daily. This allows us to count visits without storing the IP address itself and without recognising you across several days.

The measurement data is stored in our CRM and deleted after 25 months. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing our website to meet users’ needs (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this processing (see section 7).

d) Contact form / project enquiries

If you contact us using a form or submit an enquiry, we process the data you provide. This applies in particular to the following forms:

  • project enquiry or contact form and project check (e.g. name, email address, telephone number, project or club, postcode and town, number of courts, timeframe, message)
  • enquiry for a Pop-Up Court (additionally e.g. location, requested period or event date and court option)
  • datasheet download (email address, optionally first name, selected court model)
  • enquiry from the Court Designer (see letter e)

The data is processed in order to handle your enquiry. Your details are transmitted directly to our CRM system (crm.scc-courts.de) and stored there as a contact or enquiry. We are notified of its receipt by email; this notification contains your details and is sent via the email service Resend. To protect against spam, the forms contain a hidden field, and we check whether enquiries have already been received from the same email address shortly beforehand.

The legal basis is:

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest)

The data is deleted as soon as the purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations exist.

e) 3D Court Designer

On our “Court Designer” page, we embed our 3D designer, which is loaded from our own CRM system (crm.scc-courts.de). Designing your court and the area and profitability calculations take place in your browser. Your configuration is only transmitted when you send an enquiry using the form in the designer. In that case we process your name, email address and – where provided – telephone number, town or region, planned opening, message, the configuration and, if requested, the profitability calculation. The information under letter d applies accordingly.

f) Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address, optionally your first name and the topics you have selected in order to send you information about our products and services. You can subscribe via the newsletter form and, optionally, when downloading a datasheet.

Subscription takes place using the double opt-in procedure: you receive an email with a confirmation link that is valid for 30 days. You will only receive the newsletter once you have confirmed. To be able to prove your consent, we log the subscription, the sending of the confirmation email and the confirmation, each with the time, IP address and browser identifier.

We send confirmation emails and newsletters via the email service Resend (USA). Resend informs us whether an email was delivered, bounced or was reported as spam; we use this information to keep our mailing list up to date. We do not analyse opens or clicks for recipients who subscribed via the website.

The legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The legal basis for logging your consent and processing delivery information is our legitimate interest in sending emails properly and verifiably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and our obligation to demonstrate consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR).

You can withdraw your consent at any time, e.g. via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by emailing us.

g) Appointment booking via Microsoft Bookings

On our consultation page you can book an appointment via Microsoft Bookings. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (Ireland). The booking calendar is only loaded when you load it by clicking or have allowed external media in the cookie settings. Alternatively, you can open Bookings in a new window via a link.

As soon as the calendar loads, Microsoft receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and may set cookies. When you make a booking, Microsoft processes the data you enter on our behalf (e.g. name, email address, telephone number, selected appointment and comments). A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out (see section 5).

The legal basis for loading the calendar is your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); for processing your booking data, it is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

h) YouTube videos

We embed videos from the YouTube platform. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Ireland). We use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). We serve the preview image from our own server; a video is only loaded when you click on it or have allowed external media in the cookie settings.

As soon as the video loads, Google receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and may use cookies or similar technologies. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out (see section 5). The legal basis is your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

i) LeasinGO financing calculator

On our financing page you can use the calculator of our financing partner LeasinGO (leasingo.cloud). The calculator is only loaded when you load it by clicking or have allowed external media in the cookie settings. Program code is then loaded from LeasinGO’s servers; LeasinGO receives your IP address, technical information about your browser and, where applicable, what you enter in the calculator, and may set cookies.

The legal basis is your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

j) Fonts, videos and project map

We serve the fonts used on our website from our own server; no connection is made to Google Fonts or other font providers. Videos on our pages (with the exception of YouTube videos) are also hosted on our own server.

Our project map does not use a third-party map service. The map graphic and project data come from our own website and our CRM system.

k) Links to external websites

Our website contains links to external websites, e.g. to Google Maps, Microsoft Bookings or the websites of our customers and partners. Data is only transmitted to these providers when you click on such a link. The respective provider is responsible for processing on those websites.

4. Disclosure of data and recipients

Personal data is only disclosed if:

  • you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
  • this is necessary for contractual purposes (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
  • there is a legal obligation to do so (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)
  • or there is a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)

We use the following service providers, who process personal data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR):

  • Vercel Inc. (USA) – hosting of the website and our CRM system
  • Supabase Inc. (USA) – database of our CRM system, which stores enquiries, newsletter subscriptions and audience measurement data, among other things
  • Resend (USA) – sending of enquiry notifications, confirmation emails and newsletters
  • Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (Ireland) – Microsoft 365, including appointment booking (Microsoft Bookings) and storage of backups of our CRM system

When YouTube videos or the LeasinGO calculator are loaded, data is transmitted to the providers named in section 3 h) and i).

5. Transfers to third countries

Some of the service providers named above are based in the USA or process data there. Data is only transferred to the USA if the requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR are met, in particular on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decision for companies certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Your rights

You have the following rights:

  • Art. 15 GDPR – right of access to the data stored about you
  • Art. 16 GDPR – right to rectification of inaccurate data
  • Art. 17 GDPR – right to erasure of your data
  • Art. 18 GDPR – right to restriction of processing
  • Art. 20 GDPR – right to data portability
  • Art. 21 GDPR – right to object to processing (see section 7)
  • Art. 7(3) GDPR – right to withdraw consent
  • Art. 77 GDPR – right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

The competent authority is, in particular, the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Hamburgischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

7. Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest); this also applies to profiling based on that provision. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Where your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to processing for such marketing; this also applies to profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing. Following an objection, your data will no longer be processed for direct marketing purposes.

No particular form is required for an objection; it should preferably be sent to hello@scc-courts.de.

8. Data security

We use SSL/TLS encryption to protect your data during transmission.

You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser.

9. Storage period

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention periods. We delete audience measurement data after 25 months.

10. Validity of this privacy policy

This privacy policy is currently valid and was last updated in October 2026.
